Amir Eden
Chair
Amir Eden, 26 was born in Bankside, London in 1993. He was born in Guys Hospital and has lived in Bankside all his life and is committed to encouraging active citizenship and promoting sustainable community development.
Amir serves as the Executive Chair of Living Bankside (formerly known as Bankside Residents’ Forum) and is responsible for leading the organisation in achieving its objectives, enabling residents to play a crucial role in the regeneration of the Bankside area.
Amir’s vision for Living Bankside (formerly Bankside Residents’ Forum) is:
1) To engage residents (including those that are 'harder to reach') within Bankside with the regeneration of the area; ensuring development is balanced and has a positive impact on those who live in the area. Ensure residents are engaged in events and activities in their local area.
2) The Promotion of social cohesion through a wide range of events which celebrate a number of different festivities and cultural functions; bringing together people from all ethnic backgrounds, genders, faiths including those that are non-religious and those from the LGBT community.
3) To Work with all stakeholders (residents, businesses, developers and other organisations) in the Bankside Area to address various issues such as obesity, anti-social behaviour, housing, education, employment etc; through tangible solutions.
