THE GREAT GET TOGETHER BANKSIDE 2023

The Great Get Together Bankside 2023

The Great Get Together Bankside a street party like no other

Saturday 24 June 2023 (1200-1800)

Borough Yards, Stoney Street, London SE1 9AD & around Borough Market

Living Bankside is pleased to host, once again, this year’s Great Get Together Bankside. Now in its seventh year, the event is part of a nationwide series of weekend activities inspired by the memory of the late Jo Cox MP. She believed the fundamental values of kindness, compassion and inclusivity are an imperative to bridge division and create stronger communities. As she, now famously, said ‘we have more in common than that which divides us.’

Festivities will include Wacky Races; an array of music, performances, and children's activities.

Speaking about the event, Amir Eden (Executive Chair of Living Bankside) said: “We are excited to host the event again this year and are working with our community to have a fun-filled day. Continuing the theme of inviting a local champion to officially open the event, this year Tina Johnston from Blackfriars Settlement will do the honours and launch the day. Come along, catch up with old friends, make some new ones.”

The event will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, 24 June 2023 in and around Borough Yards and Borough Market. Living Bankside is delighted to work with a range of partners to host the event including Borough Market, Shakespeare's Globe, Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern and many more.

Should you wish to get involved: to participate, volunteer, sponsor, orotherwise, then please get in touch.
